The tabletop is a singular, continuous live-edge American walnut slab, measuring an extraordinary 132 inches long and a solid 2 inches thick. Sourced as a rare, unified timber cut, the wood is hand-finished with a deep-penetrating satin oil that highlights the walnut's intense cathedral grain, shifting natural character, and rich amber depth.
Anchoring this massive timber span is a monumental base infrastructure expertly hand-fabricated from 1/2" thick solid structural steel plate. The offset geometric plates are meticulously aligned and welded to form a high-rigidity foundation capable of neutralizing the immense leverage of the 11-foot wood plane. The steel is completed with a hand-applied, stabilized industrial blackened patina, yielding a deep, velvety monochromatic texture that stands in sophisticated opposition to the organic warmth of the live-edge walnut.
