The Crux Coffee Table embodies absolute minimalist structure and sculptural clarity. Built around a commanding, low-profile cruciform anchor, the design establishes an intense architectural tension between monumental mass and complete optical transparency. The resulting form is deeply grounded yet visually weightless, offering a sharp geometric centerpiece for expansive modern living environments and curated gallery spaces.
MATERIALS & CRAFTSMANSHIP
The foundation of the table is precision-crafted from massive, 3/8" thick solid hot-rolled structural steel plates. The plates are meticulously slotted and interlocked to form a flawless, self-stabilizing cruciform cross profile, then treated with a hand-applied industrial patina that leaves a deep, velvety, and stabilized monochromatic surface texture.
Hovering securely over this heavy metal base is a premium 3/4" thick clear tempered glass top, measuring 36 inches square. The extreme thickness and polished edge profiling of the glass accentuate the raw, process-heavy execution of the steel joinery below while allowing ambient light to flood the composition.
