Who We Are

I began my career in Seattle with the David Gulassa Company where we designed and built furniture, lighting and architectural fixtures for the luxury market. The company worked with architects and designers such as Tom Kundig, Charles Gwathmey, Terry Hunziker, and had showroom representation with Dennis Miller and Profiles in NY, Thomas Lavin in LA, and Sloan Miyasato in San Francisco. 

Much of my current work is minimalist in style and has been influenced and inspired by Carlo Scarpa, Donald Judd, Louis Kahn. Of course, there are others. I prefer working with steel and continually seek new ways to use the material whether involving a modern, industrial approach, or using more primitive methods. 

Vermontica is furniture, decorative objects, art, and architectural fixtures and is based in White River Junction, Vermont, an Amtrak ride from NYC and Montreal.
